Linette Aguirre-Gonzalez

Linette Aguirre-Gonzalez was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from Socorro High School and continued her studies at the University of Notre Dame. While a student there, Ms. Aguirre-Gonzalez was on the Dean’s List, participated in international service programs, and spent much of her time volunteering and serving the local community. In 2010, she graduated as a double major in Philosophy and Theology.

Ms. Aguirre-Gonzalez was then accepted into the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE), moved to South Los Angeles to teach third grade at a lower income elementary school, and began working towards her Master’s in Education. She then went on to attend Southwestern Law School, where, as a mother to a newborn, she found the perfect fit in their PLEAS program. During her time in law school, Ms. Aguirre-Gonzalez was a summer clerk at the Children’s Law Center of California, where she was exposed to a wide range of child and family welfare issues and represented children who were abused and neglected. She also participated in the Street Law Clinic, educating at-risk youth about their legal rights, while also teaching law-related critical life skills.

Upon graduating, she and her family returned to El Paso, where she looks to build her practice as a prominent attorney in the local community. In her free time, Linette enjoys spending time with her husband, their four children, and their extended family; watching sports and cheering on her Fighting Irish; and traveling.
